At the Pontevedra Campus of the University of Vigo, a new edition of the EMLex Wiktionary Hackfest is taking place under the title “Acariñando as palabras” (“Cherishing words”). The event, led by Carlos Valcárcel Riveiro, brings together students from the European Master in Lexicography (EMLex) at the University of Vigo, the University of Santiago de Compostela and the University of Minho (Braga), as well as undergraduate students and other participants interested in the topic.

This Hackfest focuses on collaborative work around Wiktionary, with the aim of exploring new ways of describing and connecting words in different languages, while at the same time promoting hands-on training in digital lexicography and in the use of open resources.
